Mitchell Valley Farm is an up and starting organically grown produce and small grain farm. The farm is located 3 miles South of Mitchell, NE and about 8 miles West of Scottsbluff.

I have come up with the 2011 CSA options, their prices, and payment options. Traditional (pay-in-advance) shares can be paid all at once or in installments (see the “proverbial ‘worm’ discount” for the advance payment savings).

Traditional Shares

PECK: This one’s for the single person with little time to cook for themselves, but likes to have some fresh vegetables on hand.
$200

HALF-BUSHELL: Ideal for a single person who likes to get a lot of veggies in their diets or for a couple that can’t make all their meals at home but want a decent amount of produce to eat when they can
$290

BUSHELL:  This is the package for the couple or small family that wants to eat healthy vegetable all through the week
$375

(I LOVE YOU A) BUSHELL AND A PECK:  This package is for those who eat A LOT of vegetables or have many mouths to feed. Should meet the need of a family of 3-4 adults or teens or one or two VEGGIE EATERS
$525

*share names not to imply actual volume/weight of produce

Comparative Size Breakdown: If a “Peck” were 1, a “Half-Bushel” would be 1.5, a “Bushel” would be 2, and a “Bushel and a Peck” would be 3

Pay-As-You-Go Options

With Pay-as-you-go options, the price of each weekly “veggie bag” is determined by content.  Although these options offer more security, the prices are a considerably steeper than those of “share-holders.”  The prices will vary, but are defined by maximum weekly cost.

FULL SHARE:  Intended for a veggie lover, couple, or small family. Roughly equivalent to the “Bushel” package. Not to exceed $25 per week.
HALF SHARE:  For the single person, or couple with less time to cook. Roughly equivalent to the “Peck” package.  Not to exceed $15 per week.
