Garlic Twirls

by Monique on July 9, 2011

Beth Everett

Beth Everett gave me permission to publish the drawing that accompanied our last CSA.  The Garlic Twirls are a lot of fun and something you’re probably only likely to find at a farmers’ market.  Looking forward to seeing what is in store for us this season!

CSA + Open A Bar 2 Ranch Smoked Chicken

by Monique on June 3, 2011

Mitchell Valley Farm greens, including fresh oregano, kale, and spinach - with Open A Bar 2 Ranch Smoked Chicken

Yup.  Open A Bar 2 Ranch is making Smoked Chicken. I received this chicken in a 1 lb. package.  It’s smoked and chunked into bite-sized pieces.  What a great, easy, light dinner on a summer evening.  The smoky chicken flavor inspired me to add fresh oregano from Mitchell Valley Farm along with the spinach and kale, (store-bought) tomatoes and some of Matt’s homemade vinaigrette.
